Description
"Suppressed from Birth" illustrates the stifling grip of societal expectations from the moment we are born. In this painting, a large, ominous hand represents society, exerting pressure on a group of children below. The children, each depicted with muted, conformist expressions, symbolize the loss of individuality as they are molded to fit societal norms. The rigid lines and muted tones emphasize the harshness of this suppression. The hand's overpowering presence suggests the difficulty and near impossibility of escaping these imposed norms. Through this piece, I aim to highlight the relentless pressure to conform and the struggle for personal identity within societal constraints.
